Waterfall Trail Fell Race 2nd June 2016
The Annual Fell Race took place among the glorious scenery of the Ingleton Waterfalls on Thursday 2nd June and attracted nearly 70 runners. The runners tackled a five mile route along the famous Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, climbing 800ft during the second Ingleton Scenery off Road Race.
Among the competitors were runners from Denby Dale Athletic Club, Keighley and Craven and Trawden Athletic Club. There were no international entries this year but there was one runner from Cornwall.
The race was won by John Whiteside of Trawden Athletic Club in 29min 58sec and the first woman home was Karen Brindle from Barlick Fell Runners with a time of 39min 47sec. The first local male was Matthew Cardus and the first local female was Kirsten Angus.
